There’s nothing that we love more than a beach getaway, the relaxation, positive mindset and calming of the soul by natures finest the 3’s (Sun. Sea. Sand) reminds you of how easy life should be treated at times like these, it is indeed a lovely way to recoup and regroup. Weather it’s trip with your mates, a romantic retreat or a luxurious stay at the beachfront, there’s no relaxation quite like a beach relaxation, is there?
To travel for a fashion lover like myself means I have to set my wardrobe strategically and make sure that I miss no day to dress up nor a picture moment to seal the deal. With so much to see and do in the Mother City, research is key before your stay. You need to know what places you should be visiting and what it is you need to pack to not only be in your comfort zone, but also to dress the part for the amazing scenery you will experience.
The next few weeks, will be nothing short of amazing resort wear & travel moments shared with you on my blog. I am totally excited to finally get to interpret what I see on the runway and bring it to the real world.
Amanda Laird Cherry is an established designer label born and made in RSA, told through cloth & thread.
The Amanda Laird Cherry label includes ladieswear, accessories made in collaboration with local crafters and skills-building organizations, and ALC.Menswear made in collaboration with fresh talent Brendan Sturrock.
Showcasing at the SAMW Spring Summer ’19 this year ALC Man’s collection presents a surreal and playful picture of being near the ocean. The range balances accessible and avant-garde pieces which was defiantly my way of thinking when I saw them for the very first time on the runway. I found some garments are disproportionate, familiar but set in an unfamiliar and innovative futuristic way. Colorful and bright sunset tones are pared down with natural tones of the sand and the sky.
For the next few weeks, I will be sharing with you a few pieces I chose from this specific collection prior it’s release on the 1st of September 2018. A perfect way for you to start gathering idea’s for your next travel.
My first outfit choice was this beige short-sleeved shirt paired with these white stone washed tie-pants and this awesome Straw-Safari Hat from Crystal Birch a maverick milliner whose irreverent designs of classic hats have become beloved adornments on the heads of South Africa’s fashion conscious. You will be definitely be seeing more of me in her hats with all the looks I have put together. for our Spring Summer ’19 edits.
